This refined Solera Rum can also be served in a range of classical cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Negroni or Manhattan. Santa Teresa 1796 - Aragua Old-Fashioned • 2 parts SANTA TERESA 1796 Solera Rum • 1/4 part Demerara Syrup (1 part water / 1 part sugar in the raw) • 3 dashes of CACAO or ANGOSTURA® bitters • Build all ingredients in a mixing glass • Stir 30-40 seconds • Pour over ice in a double old-fashioned glass • Garnish with an orange twist. Its rich, amber reddish color, delivers a fruity aroma, with notes of honey and dark chocolate. The flavour is mellow, yet complex. This rum offers tobacco and leather notes, toasted and smoky, and a well-rounded balance that can only be achieved through the Solera rum-making method. Santa Teresa 1796 Rum is full-bodied while remaining delicate, elegant and velvety. The finish evokes attributes borrowed from the oaks in which it aged.
